Turning Left

First time out you could have turned left.

It was clear both ways,

Neither route any easier.

But you didn’t look again. BANG.

A soul lost. You got another chance.

You should have turned left,

But trusted fate to the odds.

You pushed down hard. CRASH.

Now a family shattered.  It would be different.

Focus on the journey not the destination.

You must turn left,

Foot slips, and fall fast. SMASH.

Everyone you know standing in a circle.

You slowly but surely walk to the centre,

You place a wreath “NOW” it reads.

Upright, your head high, you turn left.
